Relief vs. Grief

We all have to make decisions that support our growth and betterment. Often that involves the elimination of people places and things that are hindering or blocking our path forward. Sometimes we call this weighing the pros and cons. I like to look at it as relief versus grief. Ask yourself and evaluate if what you’re removing is going to provide more relief then it is grief over losing it? Or vice versa?  For example, sometimes our acquaintances can hurt us. This hurt can create a lot of emotion and the desire to remove what’s causing the pain. But in those moments, we can forget about the long list of pleasure that this acquaintance has brought us. So in this example, you would ask yourself “would I feel more relief not having this person in my life? Or would I grieve the loss more than feel the relief?”
